through a district-wide professional learning community that increases teachers' skills and knowledge and improves student outcomes.

The Multiple Pathways Institute is an innovative, professional learning program designed to build the instructional expertise of teachers and the leadership capacity of principals, with the goal of improving students’ academic achievement and postsecondary outcomes.

WHO WE ARE

The Institute is designed and facilitated by a team of educators with extensive knowledge in research-based theories of adult learning and the unique needs of students who are significantly behind in their education.

The Institute is sponsored by the NYC Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Readiness.

  • Strategic events focused on common areas of work

OUR APPROACH

Our professional learning brings together both the district and school to adopt a common road map of opportunities that combine:

  • Personalization to meet schools' needs

  • Sustained multi-year participation

  • Partnerships with external educational organizations

  • Honing expert practice through mentorships
